One day in Claire's house was a cat and a bat, in Claire's room. She went downstairs to get her mom. After she got her mom things were perfectly fine and they lived happily ever after.

First Week of Kindergarten

Claire completed her first week of Kindergarten yesterday. It was an interesting week of adjustments for her (and me).
Here are some thoughts Claire shared out loud:
-Why does Matt get all the homework??? [whine whine} i want homework! I WANT HOMEWORK.
-Some of the kids in our class are not showing Ms. vanNatta all her respectfulness she should have.
-You want to know if it's loud at lunch? Mom, it's like an elephant!
-I made 2 friends today, and 2 friends yesterday. I have 4 new best friends. Well, not all of them are my best friends.
-Some of the boys are so loud and at gym they were crazy and running around and I just lay there with my head like this [puts head on her hand] and was like, 'whatever.' And then we had to write a sorry note to Mr. K for not showing him the respectfulness and not being respectful.
-One kid never showed up for the whole week. She must've moved or something.
-I am NEVER wearing these sneakers again [see photos from first day]. Because Ms. vanNatta and Mr. K had to tie them like 58 times! Plus, one of them fell off at gym!!!
-Yeah, I was Queen of the Day today. I don't know, it was okay. Everyone gets a turn this year. The kids drew pictures for me and i got to wear this crown. it was okay I guess. Do I get to wear the crown again tomorrow...

Heavy Stars
Claire: Mom, this is how you make a wish at night. You look out the window, find a star and say Star light, star bright, then you make your wish, and then you end with Star Light. Here, like this:
Star light, Star bright
I hope my wish comes true tonight.
I wish my mom, my dad and my brother will never die.
Star light.
Star light, Star bright
I hope my wish comes true tonight.
I wish my mom, my dad and my brother will never die.
Star light.
